TARC 2020
The American Rocketry Challenge (TARC), formerly the Team America Rocketry Challenge, is a competition where over 800 teams nationwide are competing to design a rocket that will fly a fragile payload to a specific height and with a specific flight time. The challenge for this year is for a rocket to take one raw chicken egg, 55-61g, up to a height of 800ft in a total time of 40-43s. The rocket must come down with both halves connected.
This year we have 5 teams from the high school, 2 teams from the Middle School and 3 teams from the Intermediate school. The teams will design their own rockets on a computer design software and then construct them using stock parts. Updates will be posted throughout the year.
