Tickets are still available for our March 13 Gift Card Bingo to support the rocket teams. Students in Grades 6 through 12 have been designing, building and launching rockets all school year to compete in The Battle of the Rockets and The American Rocketry Challenge. TE Connectivity Grant received

The Spring Grove Rocketry team recently received a $2500 grant to support the Battle of the Rockets rocketry team and the expansion of the TARC teams to both the Middle School and the Intermediate School. This year we have 14 The American Rocketry Challenge (TARC) teams. The teams have to launch 2 large eggs to over 800ft and back down in a specific time. The eggs must remain undamaged.

On Saturday Feb 12, the Battle of the Rockets team flew their newly completed Mars Rover named, The Red Baron, and the largest rocket we ever flew, Behemoth. The video below shows the prep and transportation of the rockets. Thank you Ed for filming these shots and putting this video together,

REMINDER - The spring Gift Card Bingo is on Mar 13. Doors open at noon and the games begin at 2pm. Tickets are only $20 for 20 games. The bingo will be held at the Seven Valleys Fire Department. Mars Rover flies for the first time

The Battle of the Rockets Mars Rover Rocket at MDRA Saturday. The 55lb, 12 inch in diameter and 13 feet long rocket lifted a 3 kilogram payload to a height of 970 ft under a steady wind. The target altitude is a flight over 1000ft, so we are very close. The video below was filmed by Shaken Not Stirred Productions.
