Sorry for the lack of activity, folks! A lot has happened over the last month, and we'd like to share our progress.

Cotton Candy Fundraiser Conclussion

Our cotton candy fundraiser has officially ended. We have been selling homemade cotton candy at each of our home football games and we have fundraised over $1600! Thank you to those who helped sell the cotton candy and volunteering your time.

Half-Century Graduates Disband, Donate Remaining Funds to SLI

In 1990, Luther Yohe, a 1925 graduate of Spring Grove High School and a former teacher and coach at the school, proposed the formation of one organization known as the Spring Grove High School-Half Century Graduates. Today, the Half Century Graduates group is comprised of only a few members and meets very rarely. So rarely, in fact, that they have decided to disband.  "Many of us are in our eighties," explained Joyce Stambaugh, spokesperson for the group. "It's time." The Half-Century Grads have graciously donated the balance of their club's treasury to us,  a total of $500! These funds will be used to purchase fiberglass bodies for our two main rockets this year, a great upgrade from the fibercore bodies used in past years.

Written and Oral Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) Completed Successfully

On Tuesday, November 17th, we presented our oral presentations to NASA. Team Darwin was first to present, followed by Team Tesla. We feel very confident about our presentations and we plan to move forward and grow with our projects. 

Subscales! 

At this time, both teams are constructing our subscales. A lot of hard work and time will be required by everyone. We plan to launch our subscales in Maryland on November 21 and 22.

Fundraiser Updates

Our Yankee Candle fundraiser has ended, with all orders being due on November 13th. The Nuts About Granola fundraiser, one of our most popular fundraisers,  will be ending on November 18th with all orders and payments due on that day. Bonus Books will be sold through Christmas break, so make sure to order yours today!
