At number 6, our 2015 TARC team lead by team captain Veer visited Washington DC and participated in the "Rockets on the Hill" event at the House Senate Building.  The next day they participated in the National flyoff for the Team America Rocketry Competition (TARC) and placed 9th in the Nation!  The team split $5000 and the club earned $1000.  Way to go team!

A number 7, we have US Congressman Scott Perry's visit to the high school for a TARC launch.  After hearing that we placed 4th in the country the year before and that we were participating in the NASA Student Launch Initiative, US Congressman Scott Perry visited the high school and actually pressed the button for a few TARC launches.  The team was thrilled.  Congressman Perry visited the high school to speak with the team.

At number 8, we have the launch of the largest team built rocket.  During the 2013-2014 school year NASA did not invite high schools to participate in the SLI program, so we though "hey not maximum motor requirement!"  The team decided to build a much larger rocket to reach a height of one mile with a much larger motor.  The 6in diameter rocket that weighed approximately 35lb was carried by an M3200 Vmax motor.  The rocket was later affectionately known as "the Black Mamba".

At number 9, we have the Team Darwin launch from last year's Student Launch Initiative (SLI).  Last year marked this first year in Spring Grove that we successfully had two teams compete in the SLI program.  Team Darwin had a biology based payload and Team Tesla a physics payload.  Both teams launched their final rockets in Huntsville, AL last April.  Once again I would like to thank the NAR photographer Jim Wilkerson for the awesome photos.
