The 2020 NASA SLI full scale rocket was designed to have a transition right before the fin can to reduce drag.  The rocket will go from 4in to 2.2in for the fin can and motor.  The motor will be a CTI K660 which should get the rocket to just over 5000ft!

The photo above shows the 12 team members that have been writing the proposal for NASA Student Launch for the past few weeks.  The proposal is due today.  The team will find out on October 3 if the proposal is accepted and the team is accepted into the NASA SL program this year.

Rutters donates to rocketry program!

The rocketry team recently received a donation from Rutters as part of their  Rutter Supports Schools program.  Starting Nov 1, log into your VIP Rutters Rewards account and select Spring Grove Rocketry Team to sign up for the next program.  The program lasts 3 months.  Thank you for your continued support!

Mr Sticky's cinnamon rolls go on sale this week!

The rocket teams of the intermediate school, middle school and the high school start selling Mr. Sticky's cinnamon rolls this week.  Rolls are only $4 and will be delivered fresh on October 17.  The teams need to raise close to $28,000 this year through grants, donations, corporate sponsors and fundraisers such as this one to be nationally competitive.  Please consider ordering a few rolls for breakfast or a yummy snack.
