The 2015 school year has come to a close. The 2015 year was the most successful year in Spring Grove's history with a historic win in Huntsville, Alabama with The NASA Student Launch and their Altitude Award. Other major awards included an 8th place by Kyle Abrahims' team at the 2015 TARC Nationals and a 13th place finish by Wyatt Naces' team at the 2015 TARC Nationals. Along with that our science department achieved many other honors this season including  a win in the annual Physics Olympics Competition, a 2nd place finish in the Regional Science Olympiad, and a 2nd place finish in the annual Pumpkin Chucking Competition. 2015 was a year to remember and with that an old door closes and a new one opens. Brian Hastings has led this program to a solid place and changed all of our lives that were involved in the program. 2015 graduates of the program include Kyle Abrahims (Temple University), Wyatt Nace (Embry Riddle Aeronautical University), Jacob Guinn (Goucher College), and Aaron Nace (Lehigh University). I would like to wish all of them a bright future and with that this will be my last post online. It was an honor reporting to all of our followers here online for the past year with all of our updates and news. With that I want to say good-bye and good luck to the SG team of 2016.
-Kyle Abrahims

Thank you 2015 team for all that you have done.  You were very special and I am sure are moving on to a bright future.

This past weekend on May 9th, 2015, 2 of our TARC teams advanced to The Team America Rocketry Challenge Finals in The Plains,Virginia where the best 100 teams from around the country come to compete in The National Finals. There our teams qualified to advance to the second round of flyoffs and they both placed in the top 20 in the nation. Wyatt Naces team consisting of: Wyatt Nace, Jacob Bowman, Jacob Guinn, Aaron Nace, and Albert Taglieri placed 13th in the nation. Kyle Abrahims' team consisting of: Kyle Abrahims, Gavin Black, Andrew Luckenbaugh, Adam Cavanaugh, Grant Wierman, Josh Snyder, Nick Erickson, and Adam Hollinger placed 8th in the nation and will be recieving a cash reward for their work. Spring Grove Rocketry is on the rise and had a very successful national finals. We could not be more proud of both teams.
